I just love watching babies grow. They almost become one of my own and Little C. is no different. He is getting so big and sitting up so well. For C.'s six month session we headed over to Vines Botanical Garden in Loganville and we had a blast. I just love all C's facial expressions. He is too precious!

Morgan + Seth

I assisted Sue Ann Holland from Holland Photography in shooting Morgan and Seth's wedding. This is my second wedding assisting Sue Ann and I hope it is not my last. I just love her creative eye for details. You should check out her blog post on Morgan and Seth's wedding here.

What can I say about Morgan and Seth's day? The day was beautiful (although hot!), the bride was gorgeous, the groom was handsome, the flowers were perfect, the attendants were awesome, the cake was yummy, and all the guests enjoyed themselves (and so did the photographers). I enjoyed every minute of it.

I just love this family. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. Meeting them each time is like meeting friends I have not seen in a while. I was super excited that they wanted to get a jump on their holiday cards and have their family session done now. We had a great time in downtown Athens and snapped a lot of fun photos. I was so excited to hear that MP was now six months old and ready for her milestone photos. We headed over to the Founder's Garden at UGA on Saturday morning and MP was a perfect doll. She was so excited to explore all the flowers and grass. We were able to pull her attention away and get some great shots. It was very difficult to pick my favorites. I could have posted so many more.

I was so excited to hear that sweet A. had finally arrived. She kept her mommy waiting a little longer than expected but she arrived a very sweet and perfect little girl. At seven days old, I expected a sleepy baby who I could mold and twist. She was not very sleepy but was so patient and awake. I just love the shots we were able to get. Little A. has a big brother who really loves her to pieces. If she cries in the slightest, he is the first to rush to her side. One thing I noticed about A. is that she looks just like her brother did when he was a newborn. I expect her parents will be labeling the newborn photos this time.

I had the pleasure of photographing my neighbors while their grandfather and cousins were in town. I was able to use my favorite field for the session and photograph some beautiful people. What could be better? Well, if it had been cooler... but we had a great time.

I am sure I have posted about Peyton and Grayson and their love for horses. Grayson is just beginning to learn how to ride the horses and is doing very well but Peyton has a real passion for riding. She says that it is her dream and she puts forth such effort and determination when she is riding.

Both girls participated in a horse show last Saturday. From the start little things just did not go right for us. In Peyton's warm ups she had some trouble with her horse which lead to a few stressful minutes of panic for us both. Thankfully all ended well and help arrived just in time. The bad thing was that she had to jump on another horse quickly without warming up and do the show. Even after having such a scary incident happen to her, she rode beautifully and was able to finish the show. If I had been in her situation, I would have jumped off the horse, kicked the dirt, and quit all together. But, not my animal loving Peyton. She got back in the saddle and did her best. I was a frazzled mess of nerves but she was poised and confident. Her dedication and desire to ride horses amazes me. I learned a lot from her that day.

For a long time, I have dreamed of a canvas of all four of my kids together. Well, that dream might happen in the future so instead, I ordered one 16x24 canvas for each child. I can not WAIT to get these. I will be stalking the delivery man in the coming weeks. Here is a sneak peek of what is coming. Of course I will take photos of them when they arrive. I have been so excited since finding out that M. and G. were expecting again. They have a son together and now they are expecting a little girl. With a beautiful name picked out and a pretty nursery decorated, they are now just waiting for the little princess to arrive. I was very thankful that they allowed me to capture this pregnacy as I did their first and I can not wait to take photos of the new baby soon as well.

I was so thrilled that Sue Ann Holland from Holland Photography asked me to assist her for Jonathan and Amber's wedding. I was so excited to be contacted by M. to photograph her two year old and ten month old sons. They were just adorable and I enjoyed our time together. First off let me say that I am ashamed that I have not posted since APRIL 13! WOW, talk about neglecting the blog! I am sure I missed a few sessions that I need to go back and post about. Sorry to those that I have not blogged yet. I promise to get something up soon. I will say that I have been BUSY, BUSY, BUSY! From regular sessions to photographing amazing girls and a guy at the dance studio, I have been having lots of fun. But, I must tell you about my newborn session from last weekend.

I really enjoyed meeting this family. Both Grandmothers and an honorary Grandmother were in attendance and the house was full of laughter and love. What a great way to kick off the Mother's Day weekend.

Little G. was the best behaved little girl ever. She loved just laying awake on the backdrop and looking around. Then when it was time to sleep, she went right out. I could not have asked for a better model. This little girl is one of the luckest I have ever met. Her mother and father could not be any more in love with her and I can see why. She made me want another (don't tell my husband though!)

Again it was so hard to pick favorites to post. I could have picked so many. Here is a sneak peek of the top tier of my favorites. I can not wait to edit them all. I love my job!

I was shocked when I walked in to MP's three month session and saw how BIG she was. It is amazing how much little one's grow in such a small amount of time. But, one thing has not changed and that is that she is as sweet and cuddly as ever. Although she was so tired she was so cooperative. I just love her little expressions.

Again, I have so many favorites and it is so hard to pick!

Her eyes are such an amazing shade of blue.

I photographed this family two years ago and my have they changed. They were the same sweet kids but just in bigger bodies. During our first session little A.K. was just a toddler and a bit anxious at the new woman with the big black box in front of her face so I just sat back and photographed her as she played. This year she thought she was going to be shy AGAIN! But, with a little encouragement from her wonderful big brother and a few threats to tickle her, she went from this:

I must say that this pair was just about the sweetest and most kind sibling pair that I have ever seen together. I did not have to ask them to hold hands or hug, it just came natural. I know their parents must be so proud.

I was lucky enough to meet this terrific family while J. was in town visiting her grandchildren. It is tradition that each grandchild have a photo done with J. when the child is an infant and it was P.'s turn for his photo and I was lucky enough to be able to take it. I think that this should be everyone's tradition. What a great idea!

P. has a beautiful sister who just loves him to pieces. She was so sweet singing him songs and doting on him. We were able to get a few specific shots needed for P. and a lot of fun shots of his sister in my pink pettiskirt.

I'll admit, five years ago I was not a St. Patrick's Day fan. I would go along with it and dress the kids in green but it was not a favorite holiday or one that I really celebrated. Then St. Patrick's Day 2006 rolled around and my life was changed forever. My son Chase was born on St. Patrick's Day and I finally had a reason to celebrate the day. It is also a day that my life change forever and in the best way possible. The world is a much better place with my sweet Chase in it.

Each year I create a montage of photos from the year and I wanted to share this year's montage with you.

On April 1 there will be a few price adjustments on portrait pricing. I decided recently to upgrade my storyboards to a thicker width and the last few I have received back from the printer have been my most favorite. So, out with the 3/8" and in with the luxurious 1 1/2". I love them and I think you will too. The sample I show is a 3/4" and the image below is the same.

Besides storyboards, there will be a few other minor adjustments. Any sessions booked in March (you can book a session for later) will fall under the old pricing. Any session booked April 1 or later will fall under the new pricing.

Eight weeks of sweetness

I was so excited to be contacted by this new family to photograph their new baby girl. At eight weeks little S. was no longer a "newborn" but she was full of personality and smiles and this age made such a fun age to photograph. All we had to do was have her Mommy or Daddy talk to her and the big smiles would show up. She was a perfect little model. We even got a good mix of asleep shots as well but my favorite were all of her beautiful baby blues.

A new twist on a great product

I just love this storyboard. It is a 10x20 size and includes three photos, one from each session of this little girl's first year sessions. I think it is just beautiful and I had to share.
