I wish...

I wish every session I had was this easy.

I wish I could have taken this little girl home ;)

I wish that everyday brought weather this perfect.

I wish every family shared as much love as this one shares.

and...

I wish that this little girl would never have to learn what it means to have Leukemia.

When a mutual friend called and told me that I needed to meet C. and her family I knew I wanted to. When she told me that C. had just been diagnosed with Leukemia, I knew I HAD to meet her. And thanks to mother nature who provided us with a beautiful day and a very understanding and gracious client who allowed me to reschedule her session for later this week, we were able to do these photos before C. goes to the hospital to begin her six months of treatment.

C. may be the sweetest, smartest, and cutest two year old child I know. She is PERFECT in every way. Not much got her down and she was probably the most cooperative model I have ever had. I can not tell you how honored I feel to be chosen to provide this family with this pictures. I am really looking forward to doing it again in about six months when C. is sporting a little shorter hair "do" but I am sure she will still have that same contagious smile.

C. was sitting on this bench and huge wind came and blew her hair all around and this is what I got.

Four Little Monkeys

Where have I been you say? Well, I have been buried in houses. We sold our house a couple of weeks ago and we can not seem to find a new house. Every house that we look at and plan to make an offer on gets swiped up by someone else first or we find out it is just not a good match for us. (John and I are just not skilled in fixing things). We made an offer on a FOURTH house and hopefully this one will work out. I will keep you posted.

But, I also took the time to take photos of my beautiful children. I even got one with all four kids looking pretty happy. Yeah me! Here are a few of my favorites.

Happy first birthday little one!

I was so happy when A.'s mother contacted me to photograph her first birthday. I have always been a sucker for first birthdays. We have always celebrated my kids first birthdays with a big party as well so I was so excited to be a part of A.'s. There is just something so amazing about that first year of life. It is packed with so many milestones and it is so exciting to celebrate all those accomplishments. No better way than with a cupcake, I say.









Now Ms. A had plenty of presents but she really wanted my camera.





Happy Birthday sweet girl! You are so lucky to surrounded by so many people who love you.

Down Syndrome Awareness sessions

Yeah! It is one of my most favorite times of the year... my Down Syndrome Awareness sessions. I love these sessions. October is Down Syndrome Awareness month and I am excited to offer these sessions again this year. I believe this will be my third year doing the benefit sessions. I can't wait to get started.

Here are a few details.

Here are two examples of the print with a digital mat. They are beautiful on the metallic paper. You will be able to choose your digital mat color and style. I do not offer this product in my price list and it is exclusive to the Down Syndrome session. The 8x8 photo will come with an easel and will be ready for display immediately.

Sessions are available the month of September at the State Botanical Gardens. The offer expires on October 3. Only a limited number of sessions will be offered.

1. Your gallery will be available for three days. I will contact you as soon as your photos are ready to be posted to your gallery. You can advise me which three days you want to view the gallery.
   
2. Because of the limited time frame, this special is only available for up to two children. Please contact me if you would like to extend your session. A fee of $17 will be assessed per additional child and will add 15 additional minutes to your session and five additional photos to your gallery.
   
3. This session is for only one outfit. No changes of clothes can be made.
4. Because these sessions are limited and a donation will be made, payment must be made in full before the session. You may pay by check or credit card through pay pal.
